Brooklyn Borough Hall

Brooklyn Borough Hall is a pre-Civil War building listed on the National Historic Register in the heart of downtown Brooklyn. The iconic building had a failing roof and extensive water damage on both the interior and exterior. For construction to begin, a temporary roof was constructed over the entire building to protect the interior while the existing batten seam metal roof and skylights were replaced, and the exterior masonry envelope and existing cast iron cupola were restored.

Simultaneously, repairs were made to the damaged interior finishes, and new exterior lighting and bird protection were installed. This project required acute attention to detail to maintain the building's original character while providing a new drainage system and clock repair, ensuring the building would be protected for decades to come.
