Waksman Institute

Located on the Rutgers University Busch Campus, the Waksman Institute addition contains laboratories, support spaces, a flexible conference room, and a link to the existing building. The connector provides direct entrance from parking and access to the conference room and masks an existing perfunctory vivarium. 

Facing the neo-Georgian building, the laboratory storage rooms have small or faux windows outlined in white brick to relate to the white window trim of the existing building.  The laboratory windows facing the street are larger, giving the building an institutional scale.
