Temple Israel
The addition to Temple Israel is expanding and renovating an existing synagogue. Sited in a seven-acre forest and wetlands area, the renovated existing 23,000 sq ft building is augmented with a 17,000 sq ft new sanctuary and social hall
capable of seating the entire 1,200-person congregation.
The expansion embodies sustainable principles by being partially buried into the hillside and covered with a green roof, thereby reducing the facility’s exposure to the elements and lessening its impact in the neighborhood.
