Trenton State College Dormitories

Trenton State College (now The College of New Jersey) wanted to add dormitories to attract more students and to handle their increased enrollment. The site provides an opportunity to link the neo-Georgian small-scale dormitories to the north and the larger scaled dormitories and dining facilities to the south.

The first scheme transitions from lower to higher buildings by breaking down the scale of the buildings and providing a gateway between the two sets of dormitories. After a reduction in the program, the second scheme maintains the scale of the neo-Georgian dormitories and connects with a passage between two buildings.
